Try it!

Let me think, who else used to try and erase history to suit current needs? Oh, that's right -- Stalin

The anti-Confederacy people, determined to pretend the War Between the States never happened, are going to ludicrous lengths in the wake the the Charleston shootings by a nutbag racist. Tearing down the Army of Northern Virginia's battle flag apparently is not enough -- now they want to dig up Confederate generals:
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — On Tuesday evening the Memphis City Council unanimously passed a resolution to remove Nathan Bedford Forrest’s remains from under his statue in the Health Sciences Park on Union Avenue.
However, there is still a long road ahead before the remains would be moved to a new location.
According to the city council’s attorney, Chancery Court would also have to sign off on the removal of the remains and the family of Forrest would be involved in the decision as well.
Is this getting ridiculous yet? Nathan Bedford Forrest is famous for three things: before the War Between the States, he was reputedly the richest man in the South, which means he own a lot of slaves; he was, without question, hands down the finest cavalry general who ever took to the saddle, period, end of discussion; and, the only thing that matters to the Social Justice Warriors, he was the founder of the Ku Klux Klan. He founded it because Yankee carpetbaggers decline to provide police services that protected white southerners. He quit when the KKK morphed from a police force to an anti-black vigilante force. He is a complex figure, good and bad.

A couple years ago, Memphis changed the name of the city park in which he and his wife are buried, as the park was named after him. The city let stand the statue of Forrest, and apparently gave no thought to moving his remains. Why they would move his wife is beyond me, as there is no evidence that she did anything other than marry the man they now wish to villify. But hey, since when did SJWs adhere to logic?

Well, maybe they'll have to adhere to the law:
The Memphis City Council seems bent on creating a firestorm over the removal of all traces of General Nathan B. Forrest, CSA. They do this in the face of opposition from his descendants. The Forrest family has made clear that they are “solidly opposed to digging up the graves and moving them any place.” They are opposed to moving the statue as well. The council will also be in opposition with at least two applicable State laws.
One law deals with the functions of disinterment, requiring justifications and a judge’s approval.
. . .

The other is a State law protecting ALL war memorials in the State regardless of which war.
So may Gen. Forrest will get to stay where he is. It is just the most extreme example of SJWs trying to rewrite the past to delete any references they find offensive. Like Stalin. So why isn't this stuff offensive?:

And don't get me started on Che Guevarra merchandise.
