Happy Birthday, Marine Corps

On this day in 1775, the Continental Congress authorized the formation of two battalions of Marines, marking the formal founding of the U.S. Marine Corps. For the first time in six years, Cpl. Wolves will not be attending a Birthday Ball. He got out at the end of June, shortly after tying the knot with Married Into Wolves. They always made such a handsome couple, but I guess the Marines will have to celebrate their 240th birthday without them. I'm sure the Corps will find a way to muddle through the festivities short one corporal. Happy Birthday, Marines, and Semper Fi.
