This game sucked, but the game food set new standards of excellence

I'm so far behind, I'm not even talking about the Packers' most recent loss. The defeat at the hands of the Panthers -- a game where the Pack fell short on their final play of the game -- featured a magnificent addition to the game food repertoire: mini lasagnas.

It all starts simply enough, with a 1/2 cup of ricotta cheese, two tablespoons of water, some black pepper, a half-pound of ground sausage or hamburger (I used hamburger), 1/4 cup of chopped onion, 3/4 cups of tomato sauce, 1/3 cup of shredded mozzarella and 2 packages of mini fillo pastry shells:

Yeah, I realize the fillo shells aren't pictured. Sue me. After you sue me, chop up and onion:

Also, brown the hamburger (or sausage):

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, mix the ricotta, water and pepper to taste in a bowl. Set that shit aside:

Brown whatever meat you are using, and add the chopped onion. Cook it a little bit:

Then add the tomato sauce:

Stir it up right, simmer for a bit. Next, but out the fillo shells and spoon some of the sauce into them:

Add some of the ricotta mixture to each shell:

Top with the shredded mozzarella:

Bake at 350 for about 15 minutes and plate it up:

Die happy.

We also had dirty diapers:

And the obligatory stuffed potato skins:

A good spread. Shitty game, but good food.
